Day 108 or Sundays in My City

Unknown Mami hosts a weekly event called Sundays in My City. This is my abbreviated participation.

In Austin, our largest park -- Zilker hosts a Trail of Lights. This is the Spaceship Santa. I found it hilarious and worthy of sharing.

Now if you're wondering why this is an abbreviated addition, well, we have had a rough day in the "Growing" family. My FIL bravely fought cancer in the early part of this year and had been in recovery. Today he was hospitalized and it appears that the cancer may have returned and in force. If you pray, please pray for him. This is the season of miracles after all. I humbly thank you.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I lost my mother in law in June to lung cancer. She never even smoked.

I know we have not long since met but I'd just like to say that my heart goes out to you at what must be a really difficult time. Not a believer, my best wishes never-the-less I send to you and yours, you shall be in my thoughts.

My prayers are going out to your family. Cancer is a nasty nasty disease that no family should have to deal with.

I actually work for the American Cancer Society and if you or any of your family need information or resources www.cancer.org is a very credible site for information.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. Praying.

Perhaps Spaceship Santa is sending good thoughts from Planet North Pole (?) as well.
